What a dumb generalization.

Green giant is also located in Glencoe MN (and probably LOTS of other places).

I got that same deal at a locally owned grocery store chain last night. A lot of stores must be running it.

I think the thread participants demand sources.

Yea, I searched Google and did not find anything. From the website I was under the impression it is domestic.

Same deal also at Target and (I hear) Walmart, but that was last week. Dunno if it's still on.

sincere question. do you know if Green Giant sells GMO vegetables? I would rather eat dirt than GMO food. I think my cells would rather I do that too.

If it doesnt say organic, and there is a GMO version of that particular vegetable, there is a good chance its GMO.

I dont think there is a GMO green bean yet, but I could be wrong.

There are no labeling requirements in the US, so that's hard to know. I found this "Greenpeace shoppers guide" that lists GMO vs. non-GMO foods, but GG canned veggies were on neither list. There were some frozen foods from GG that were on the bad list. Probably a handy reference to have:

(like we don't have enough to worry about!)

I rather wait for a good sale. Usually can get them 3/$1 here, for a lesser known brand. Tastes the same to me, and bought a bunch of cases last time.

The GG stuff I have here was made in France (corn) or the UK (beans). Neither are GMO as they have to be labelled as such if they are.
